Setting up your workspace

What the setup wizard walks you through, in what order, and why that order.

After you register, AOG HUB offers a setup wizard. It is a checklist, not a gate — everything in it is also in Settings afterwards, and you can leave at any point and come back.

The order is not arbitrary

The first three steps have to happen in order, because each one needs the last:

  1. Access profiles — name the bundles of permissions your organization needs. Registration seeded a starting set, so this reads as review rather than blank-page work.
  2. Workgroups — create the desks and teams your operation actually runs, and give each one an access profile.
  3. Your team — invite colleagues and put each of them in a workgroup.

A member cannot be created without a workgroup to join, so inviting people before the workgroups exist simply fails. That is why the wizard refuses to reshuffle those three.

The step before them explains the model itself. It writes nothing; you can skip it, and it stays available afterwards.

The rest

Contacts (if you are listed as a provider) — your organization's published roster: who a requestor reaches when they open your listing rather than one particular station. An organization nobody can find in the directory is not asked for one.

Legal details — your registered identity. Counterparties ask for this before they contract with you.

Approvals — your Part-145, Part-CAMO and national approvals. They are held by the legal entity, so they count for every station you run.

Fleet (if you manage aircraft) and Stations (if you run facilities) — offered according to what your organization is, not which workspace you use.

Branding — your logo and colours across the workspace.

Skipping, and the reminder

Every step can be skipped. Skipping is different from leaving a step alone: it tells the platform you have answered the question, so the reminder stops counting it.

The reminder on your dashboard is organization-wide, not personal. Dismissing it dismisses it for everyone.
