A member is somebody with a sign-in to your workspace. Members are invited, never self-registered into an existing organization.
Inviting somebody
Add them at Administration → Users. They get an email with a temporary password and are made to choose their own on first sign-in.
You must put them in at least one workgroup. The platform refuses to create a member with none, and the refusal is the point: a member in no workgroup has no access to anything, so the account would be created and immediately useless. Create the workgroups first — that is why the setup wizard walks them in that order.
Several workgroups
A member can be in as many workgroups as they need, and holds what all of them grant added together. There is no precedence and no conflict: permissions only add.
The default workgroup
If somebody is in more than one workgroup, you can set one as their default. This affects what they compose as, never what they receive. Somebody who switches what they are acting as must not stop receiving anything — otherwise forgetting to switch back means going quiet during the AOG that needed them.
Station access is a separate axis
Which stations a member can reach is set per member, not by their workgroups. A member is either assigned to specific stations or to all of them.
This is genuinely independent of access profiles: the profile decides what they may do to a station, the assignment decides which stations. Somebody can hold "manage stations" and still only reach two of them.
Disabling, and owners
Disable a member to end their access without losing the history of what they did. A disabled member can be re-enabled.
Owners do not appear in the team list. An owner holds every permission and is not in any workgroup, and owners are set up and changed by AOG HUB — contact support to add an owner, hand the organization over or remove one. An owner edits their own details on their account page. The organization always keeps at least one active owner.
