Terms of Service
The terms under which organizations and their members use AOG Hub. Being listed in the directory and using the platform are different things, and the finished document treats them separately.
This document is in preparation
AOG Hub is being built, and its legal documents are being drafted with counsel rather than assembled from a template. This page sets out what the finished document will cover so that nothing about it is a surprise. For the terms currently in force for your organization - including anything a procurement or data-protection review needs - write to us and we will send them.

The agreement is between AOG Hub and an organization, not between AOG Hub and an individual - which follows from the way the product works: a member acts on behalf of a company, and the company holds the record.
- Who the agreement is with - the organization, the authority of the person who accepts it, and how that authority is established when a listing is claimed.
- What a listing is - a directory record describing an organization, which is not an account, not an endorsement and not a rating.
- Acceptable use - what may be published on an organization record, what may be sent through the network, and the consequences of misrepresenting an approval or a capability.
- Responsibility for airworthiness - decisions, certifications and releases to service remain entirely with the organizations and licence holders that make them. AOG Hub records that they happened.
- No commercial intermediation - AOG Hub takes no commission on work arranged through the network, sells no ranking and is not party to the contract between two organizations.
- Availability - what is committed about the platform being up, and what is not.
- Liability and indemnity - the limits, and how they are apportioned between the parties to a case.
- Term and termination - ending use of the platform, what happens to an organization record afterwards, and what an organization can take with it.
- Governing law and disputes - the jurisdiction and the process.
What will not be in it
Two things are worth stating now, because they are product decisions rather than drafting ones, and because the finished document will not quietly reverse them.
- No claim to your content. Cases, messages and organization records belong to the organizations that made them.
- No licence for AOG Hub to use message content - for a data product, for training a model, or for anything else.
